What to Expect

Starting something new can feel intimidating—especially if you’ve never done Pilates before. My sessions are calm, private, and guided step by step. You don’t need experience, strength, or flexibility to begin. You just need to show up as you are.

Most sessions are reformer-based, because the reformer is supportive, adjustable, and helps your body learn good movement patterns with control. I may also include simple mat work or tower/half-trapeze exercises when they support your goals, but the reformer is usually our main tool.

Your First Session

Your first session starts with a short conversation so I can understand your goals, your movement history, and anything your body is dealing with—tension, pain, past injuries, or areas you want to improve. From there, we move at a pace that feels comfortable. I’ll guide you through foundational exercises, explain what we’re doing in plain language, and adjust everything to your level.

During the Session

You’ll be coached closely the entire time. I’ll help you with alignment, breathing, and how to use your core in a way that feels supportive—not forced. The exercises are controlled and intentional. Some parts will feel gentle, and some will feel challenging in the right way, but nothing should feel sharp, unsafe, or rushed.

What to Wear

Wear something you can move in comfortably—leggings or fitted athletic wear is ideal so I can see your alignment. Grippy socks are great (If you don't have them I can provide). No special equipment is needed.

After Your Session

You’ll leave with a clear sense of what we worked on and what we’re building toward. If you choose to continue, I’ll structure your sessions so you progress steadily—more strength, better posture, and more ease in your movement over time.

If you have questions before booking, you can always reach out. I’m happy to help you feel comfortable before you come in.
